Your initial Physical Therapy appointment will begin with a private conversation between you and your therapist. They will work with you to assess your overall movement history, your medical history, and ways you feel they can best support you. 

Your therapist will then perform a thorough physical evaluation including clinical diagnostic tests, and a movement assessment. Through this assessment, your therapist will analyze your movement patterns (noting muscle imbalances, weaknesses, mobility, stiffness, etc.) and how these patterns relate to the cause and/or irritation of your injury. Following this in-depth examination, we will work with you to develop a personalized, medically-based program that meets your therapeutic needs.

Your treatment will be designed to enhance your strength, flexibility, and overall awareness and understanding. Treatment will be based around your individualized goals. This will help you gain a more balanced state of health and wellness, allowing you to reach your full potential, with the support and assistance from your therapist from start – to finish – and beyond!

Once you meet your individualized goals, we encourage continued education and care. Our ultimate intention is to support you in discovering and empowering you to manage your health and stay functioning optimally. Our physical therapist may recommend continuing on with a maintenance program and/or prevention, to maintain your new state of wellness.
